Title: What is that noise? (Not Big Jim)
Post by: abr4th on May 07, 2016, 02:34:10 AM
I live on Laura st, and there is this noise I hear, exactly every 5 seconds. It sounds like someone is hitting a giant drum. Not talking about Big Jim, the whistle at JEA. I feel like I only hear it at night. I've listened for it while driving, but I can only hear it from the back half of my house. Maybe it's construction? I don't know. It just makes falling asleep difficult.

On a semi-related note, what is that weird noise you can hear on Forsyth in front of Dos Gatos? It sounds like a squeaky gate slightly opening and closing, but I think it's electrical. Possibly coming from the Florida Theater.

Been hearing it for 2+ years.

That squeaky noise is like a fake owl or hawk sounds to keep birds away from Florida Theatre ledges.
