apparently, since so many absurd ones are posted-----which is usually the point of humor, obviously.

Im just commenting on the bizarre zombie propaganda represented by the artist in this case.

The sheer bloodyminded stupidity of this stuff is a good reminder not to allow myself to buy into similar propaganda just because it represents my own leanings---which is easy to do because its so ubiquitous.

I find myself every now and then having to give up some chestnut or another which seemed perfectly logical to buy into in years previously, only to find out it was just loose propaganda later on.

The treatment of Tammy Faye Bakker was a notable example for me.

Whether the reader finds a cartoon absurd, bizarre, or stupid, it is certainly good advice to beware of propaganda that is leaning in ones own direction.

and even though it turned out that every single group got their tax exempt status (so they could bitch about having to pay taxes)

The issue wasn't their tax exempt status.  They could be effectively tax exempt even as political organizations.  The issue was whether they were exempt under section 527 or section 501(c)(4) of the Code.  The former have to disclose the names of their donors; the latter do not.
