Department of the Interiors: Silver Cow, King Street

The exterior of the club is pretty unassuming. The spot is still waiting for approval of their sign although they are already opened.

There is some pretty cool, kitschy vinyl work on the door to mark the spot however.

On the bar are these fantabulous giant lamps, which give the entire place its character and sense of shabby genteel rococo.

The tap selection

Cari and Phillip Sanchez Potter. Cari is the well loved gastronome who managed Intuition Aleworks Taproom. One of the things that sticks out with the new community of businesses on King Street is the cooperation and good relations. Kind of cool to see Cari drinking some beer at the place down the street. Steve Flores gave her one of his old pinnacle POS (point of sale) systems to manage the ordering, inventory and reports. These are things that businesses don't have to do to support each other, and yet its happening all along King Street.

There is a stack of games for patrons to play, and surprisingly, they do.

This statuette above the cash register. In its way it is as iconic as the Dos Gatos mural behind the bar. A pretty cool bit of ornament that also establishes the comfortable scaled down opulence of Silver Cow's charm.
