Blanding/Park Corridor Community Charrette This Week

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) plans to extend First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service to Riverside, Lake Shore, Cedar Hills and Orange Park by 2018-2019.

The Southwest Corridor will provide service from the Convention Center, south along Park Street and Blanding Boulevard. Riders will be able to access Five Points, FSCJ Kent Campus and the Orange Park Mall quickly and efficiently. Unique features on the line will include branded stations, CNG buses and Transit Signal Priority (TSP).

As a part of its MobilityWorks program, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is inviting residents to provide their opinions on what type of safety and mobility improvements should be included along this premium transit corridor. Here's a look at the details.
