That is what happens when you are more concerned with getting something done right now instead of doing it right.

Doing it Right with the 113th Congress? Ha ha ha ha. I know that getting assault rifles banned will not pass in congress.

It was already passed under the Brady Bill.

It just requires an executive order, which Bush decided not to renew.  Obama can renew the Ban whenever he likes.
The Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired on September 13, 2004, as part of the law's sunset provision. There have been multiple attempts to renew the ban,[1] but no bill has reached the House floor for a vote. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Assault_Weapons_Ban

Separately from the FAWB, the regulation of Assault Weapons is still pre empowered by the executive branch.  All it takes is an executive order.

Stephen, I've heard that he can only issue an executive order that applies to imported weapons not those manufactured in the US.
That is my final post on this topic on this thread, because it really doesn't belong here.  I should not have commented on the thread at all.

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

By changing the deductions and investment income you can obviously change the tax amount. Median household income is $52,762 (http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/00000.html), so why only pick examples that are so much higher?
